Additive & Phonation Blending drills

The aim of blending and phonation drills activity is to provide students with opportunities to independently practice and reinforce the skills of additive and phonation blending, enabling them to develop fluency in blending phonemes and enhancing their reading proficiency.

Single Word Dictation

Single word dictation activities, without scaffolds, aim to assess students' independent spelling and phonics skills. This approach helps identify areas needing improvement and reinforces learned spelling rules through autonomous application.

The aim of this activity is to enhance students' fluency in word processing by providing opportunities for student to practice typing words from their stage using the correct hand and finger placement.

Word Chaining

The aim of this activity is to strengthen students' phonemic awareness and word manipulation skills by constructing words using tiles or a whiteboard, then challenging them to transform the original word into a new one by replacing or altering a single sound, thereby reinforcing their ability to recognise and manipulate graphemes within words effectively.

Fluency Games

The aim of the games and activities in this link is to enhance students' fluency in reading single words. Through engaging and interactive exercises, students will strengthen their ability to recognize and decode individual words quickly and accurately, ultimately improving their overall reading fluency.
